Description

This Invitation to Tender (ITT) has been created to provide prospective suppliers with an overview of the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG) Lamppost Banner Advertising and its requirements for the programme within it in order for bidders to respond accordingly. Lamppost Banner Advertising is a street marketing stream that enables internal services and external companies to advertise throughout the tested and futures sites throughout the borough. Sites can be seen all over the borough, this bespoke street marketing stream has enabled RBG to promote large events that generate secondary spend for the borough. The RBG Advertising team has been working with organisations to sell to businesses nationally that want to advertise within the borough to generate external income for the organisation. Ideally, RBG would like to couple this with a company that will; test, install & sell street advertising to help grow the current business model. Outdoor advertising offers the council and businesses within the borough the ability to communicate items such as; upcoming events, developments, shop openings, council lead initiatives such as recycling and much more. RBG's desire is to be able to provide a service to Council services first, then promote ethical campaigns for external organisations both nationally and within the borough. This will align with the council corporate social mobility initiative and drive more footfall to the borough high streets. Please note that any external campaigns will need to be approved and meet strict RBG advertising guidelines. This is to ensure that the Council's association with external businesses does not damage the Council's reputation. RBG would ensure that when selling the Lamppost banners, the local businesses are taken into consideration when marketing within its main high streets. An example of this would be its Woolwich Market campaign where the council promoted the heritage of the market and the business owner played a huge part in the promotion of this awareness campaign. Finally, RBG would set the successful bidder commission incentives to generate external income on behalf of the council through a commission split thus adding more value to the current contract.
