Description

The Authority seeks information relating to Roadside Repair & Recovery; the provision of a roadside repair and recovery service to MOD owned and registered vehicles. A full service must be available 24 hours a day, for 365 days of the year (366 in the event of a Leap Year). The service must be available in the United Kingdom (includes Scottish Islands, and Northern Ireland), Europe and extends to Morocco in North Africa.

Total Quantity or Scope

The Authority seeks information relating to Roadside Repair & Recovery; the provision of a roadside repair and recovery service to MOD owned and registered vehicles. A full service must be available 24 hours a day, for 365 days of the year (366 in the event of a Leap Year). The service must be available in the United Kingdom (includes Scottish Islands, and Northern Ireland), Europe and extends to Morocco in North Africa. This requirement is for the provision of a roadside repair and recovery service to MOD owned and registered vehicles, ranging from cars, motorcycles, light commercial vehicles and trailers through to heavy commercial vehicles. Armoured and tracked vehicles are also included up to a maximum gross weight of 44 tonnes (44,000kg).

This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is intended to notify Industry of the Authority’s request for suppliers to express interest in participating in a Request for Information (RFI) relating to the Authority Draft Risk Register. This will allow the Authority to obtain feedback on the Draft Risk Register. Should suppliers express interest in participating in this exercise, the Authority Draft Risk Register and corresponding RFI will be issued to suppliers with a specific response period time frame – please see Section 3 of the Authority PIN document attached to the Opportunity Notice. The Authority would like to notify the market of a potential upcoming requirement and hear from suppliers to assist with the development of the Authority Risk Register by obtaining feedback from Industry through issuing a Request for Information to suppliers who express interest in partaking in the exercise in response to this PIN. A PIN has been issued on 15/05/2024 to assist the MOD with developing the Requirement for the above project. The PIN has been issued to request that Industry express interest in partaking in a Request for Information (RFI) to provide feedback on the Authority Risk Register.
