The contract has started on 1st April 2024 and will expire 31st March 2026 with an option to extend to 31st March 2027. In Liverpool Place YPAS are part of the Liverpool CAMHS Partnership which works collaboratively as part of a Memorandum of Agreement within all contracts. This has strengthened the collaborative approach ensuring specific requirements are shared including workforce, estates, information sharing, communication and partnerships. There is currently no other service across Cheshire and Merseyside which has the operating model of YPAS, specifically in relation to being part of a wider collaborative and core delivery partner and therefore further competition is absent to ensure continuity of delivery and sustainability of the future care model.
