Description
Transport UK East Anglia Limited are looking to engage with the market for feedback on a proposed construction framework. The proposed framework is envisaged to consist of 4 lots covering building and construction works both Principal Contractor (PC) and non-PC work, mechanical and electrical works and station painting. A virtual market engagement event will be held at 2pm on the 20th August via MS Teams which will outline the proposed route to market and lot structure.
Lot Division
1 | Depots and Lineside Construction and Works (Principal Contractor) Lot 1 consists of construction and works 'on or near the line' that would be required in depots and stations. GA operates approximately 133 stations including approximately 8 depot locations. Works to be undertaken could include canopy, platform and bridge refurbishments and creation and maintenance of walkways and lighting and construction of bespoke buildings within depots. The work is likely to include small elements of M&E however for larger M&E works there will be a separate lot. |
2 | Stations and Associated Infrastructure Construction and Works (Not Principal Contractor) Lot 2 consists of construction and works that would be required generally in stations (GA operates approximately 133 stations), for example waiting room and toilet refurbishments as well as station building repairs and construction works to the surrounding footpaths, carparks and infrastructure including some small M&E works. |
3 | Stations and Associated Infrastructure - Mechanical and Electrical Works Over the 133 station locations that GA operate there is a requirement for upgrading and maintaining various elements of M&E equipment such as station wiring, heating, cooling, lighting and power equipment. This would also include car parking and footpath lighting and barrier installation. These works are likely to include cable management systems and LV power distribution throughout the station lease areas. |
4 | Station Painting Greater Anglia operates 133 stations with a generally exterior (with some interior) painting programme covering windows, doors, soffits and fascias, frames, canopies and canopy supports, walls, masonry, gutters and downpipes at ground level and at height. |
