Description
North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) is setting up a Framework for the provision of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and E-Cigarettes (plus associated consumables) for use with clients engaged with North Northamptonshire Council's Stop Smoking Service for an initial period of 48 months. North Northamptonshire stop smoking service includes a 12-week treatment plan incorporating NRT products, provided only to individuals aged 12 and above who are engaged in the stop smoking programme and receiving behavioural support with regular contact from a stop smoking advisor. Since February 2020, the service has also provided e-cigarettes, provided only to those aged 18 and above, which have become a popular method among service users, contributing to over 2,000 quit attempts. The stop smoking service provides 12 weeks of support to local smokers and expects to work with 1,800 people per year in year one. This is expected to gradually increase to 3,000 people per year in five years. Potential Providers wishing to providing goods to the Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and E-Cigarettes Provision must apply to the Call Off - Intend Reference 00000593 at the same time they apply to the North Northamptonshire Council - Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) Products and E-Cigarettes Framework. - Lot 1: Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) (Bulk Buy) - Lot 2: E-Cigarettes (Bulk Buy) - Lot 3: Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) (Direct to Client) - Lot 4: E-Cigarettes (Direct to Client) Potential providers who apply to the above lots and do NOT apply to the North Northamptonshire Council - Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) Products and E-Cigarettes Framework will not be considered for this Call Off and will be excluded from the process.

| 1 | Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) (Bulk Buy) The North Northamptonshire Stop Smoking Service is seeking to procure nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) to be included in the treatment plan for service users enrolled in the 12-week stop smoking programme. These NRT products will only be provided to service users who are registered with the North Northamptonshire stop smoking programme, actively participating in the programme for up to 12 weeks and receiving behavioural support from a Stop Smoking Advisor. NRT will only be dispensed to individuals aged 12 years and above. |
| 2 | E-Cigarettes (Bulk Buy) The North Northamptonshire Stop Smoking Service is looking to procure e-cigarettes to form part of the treatment plan for service users as part of their 12-week treatment programme. These will only be given to clients that are engaged with the service for up to 12 weeks and receiving behavioural support from a Stop Smoking Advisor. E-cigarettes are provided as an adjunct to pharmacotherapy by the service and are restricted to service users over the age of 18, who have passed a required identification check. The e-cigarette starter kit must include, as a minimum, a ready to use e-cigarette device, a lead to charge the device, and at least one replacement atomiser. The starter pack should also be shipped with e-liquid (Nicotine Salt Liquid) as per the clients' preference of flavour and strength. |
