Description
Northumbrian Water Ltd wish to purchase some major items of analytical laboratory equipment over the next 5 years. The incumbent supplier is Thermo Fisher Scientific. They were awarded a framework contract in October 2015. Using information from the AMP7 capex replacement programme, prices would be sought up front, and a strategic partner or partners would be awarded a five year framework. The equipment required is split into five lots as follows: 1) Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (LCMS); Liquid Chromatography; 2) Colorimetry (including discreet and continuous flow); 3) Physical Chemistry (pH, conductivity, alkalinity and fluoride); 4) Ion Chromatography; 5) Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC, GCFID, GCMS and Thermal Desorption).

Renewal Options
The period of any contract(s) resulting from this procurement will be 36 months from the contract start date. The length of the contract may be extended by negotiation with the supplier for a further 24 months. Prices as submitted in the proposal shall be fixed for a minimum of 5 years from the commencement of the contract.

Applicants are asked to note that this procurement process will be conducted electronically with all documents and communication being managed through the Northumbrian Water e-Sourcing Spend Management portal called ‘Ariba’. Expressions of interest must be sent to the e-mail address lewis.timmnins@nwl.co.uk before the deadline date of 19 October 2020. Once expression of interest has been received containing the details below, applicants will be given access to the Ariba portal within 48 hours from request (where possible). This portal will contain all the tender documents associated with this procurement that are available at the time. An email link will also be provided to the email address you provide to access the portal. The deadline for return of the completed RFP is 6 November 2020 at 12.00. When sending expression of interest, applicants must provide the following information: 1) Full company name; 2) Main contact details of the person who will be given access to the Ariba portal — Name, job title, email address and telephone number.
