Description
The framework agreement is for the supply, installation and maintenance of bus stop infrastructure and bus shelters equipment as defined in the specification and pricing schedule. Hampshire County Council (‘the Authority’) has a network of bus routes and services which are operated commercially and under support by the authority. Across this network there are approximately 8 500 bus stops, of which 7 000 are without shelters and a further 1 500 are with shelters. This framework will enable the continued deployment of bus stop infrastructure following the recent successful funding applications under the Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) that include 3 key projects, Hampshire Sustainable Travel Towns (HSTT), Access to National Parks and Transport for South Hampshire. The services will be delivered over two separate lots:
— lot 1: supply, installation and maintenance of bus stop infrastructure;
— lot 2: supply, installation and maintenance of bus shelters.
This framework has been procured by Hampshire County Council and all services under the framework will be called-off directly by Hampshire County Council or the named contracting authorities.
Authorities permitted to use this framework are Hampshire County Council, Oxfordshire County Council, Dorset County Council, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, Southampton City Council, Portsmouth City Council and Isle of Wight Council.
The framework will be for a period of 4 years and will commence on 1 May 2021.
As a framework, there can be no guarantee of the volume and frequency of call-off orders made and there is no guarantee that any of the named contracting authorities will make any call-offs during the lifetime of the framework.
The value of the framework is approximate as it is based on, and dependent on, the successful outcome of funding applications, that may be made for small scale deployments or major transport schemes.
The framework will allow for call-off contracts for the maintenance of procured equipment for a period of up to 6 years from the framework commencement date.
