Kent County Council and the Kent Senior Coroners have agreed to use DA as the principal means of establishing the cause of death for all cases referred to the coroner that would otherwise be dealt with using traditional invasive post-mortem procedures. DA will be the first line of intervention, but where this does not give a successful cause of death outcome, the deceased will go on for a full or part invasive post-mortem.
