Legal Justification
• The impact of actively making significant changes to the corporate network to support remote working throughout the COVID pandemic has delayed our ability to approach the market.• The council’s recovery from the COVID pandemic is yet to be decided but the principle of working at home for most office based workers on a more frequent basis needs to be better understood to define any approach to the market.• 130 schools rely on consistent network services as they continue to support children working from home as children continue to isolate.• The council will want to capitalise on the DCMS ‘lot’ for the delivery of full fibre in Denby Dale following the probable award of a contract in the second quarter of 2022.• The overall contract remains the same.• There is no increase in the annual contract price, therefore the modification does not exceed 50% of the value of the original call off contract
