Description
Contract Award Notice - STH wishes to purchase an on-premise Ophthalmic Imaging Management System which must allow the Ophthalmic Outpatient Diagnostic Department to run effectively and help improve efficiency, ensuring that the medical device databases used to capture the original images do not have to be used to review data. It is therefore integral to the success of the project that the new System has similar functionality.
Total Quantity or Scope
Award Notice - STH wishes to purchase an on-premise Ophthalmic Imaging Management System which must allowthe Ophthalmic Outpatient Diagnostic Department to run effectively and help improve efficiency, ensuring that the medical device databases used to capture the original images do not have to be used to review data. … The System must incorporate a time saving HL7 link that also ensures the integrity of data. The capture of images into the System must be as automated as possible. Therefore it is desirable that as many of these imports should be Dicom, removing the need for manual editing imported records. Where Dicom imports are not possible, due to the age of medical device, the import must still be as automated as possible. Manual imports that require the users to spend time uploading results are not desirable, however it is accepted that a small minority of imports may be manual. Designated users must also have the ability to edit manually any records. The Ophthalmic Outpatient Diagnostic Department Directorate performs around 15,000 Visual Field tests per annum. These are predominantly performed on Zeiss Humphreys and also Haag-Streit Octopus’s. The five Zeiss Humphreys share a common database located on the hospital server using Forum software. Therefore the new software must export from Forum, automatically using Dicom to send all fields and Glaucoma Progression Analysis (where performed), so there will be no need for clinicians to use Forum software. The initial Contract period is 5 years, with options to extend on an annual basis to take the Contract term up to a maximum total of 10 years. The estimated Contract value is not expected to exceed £300,000 for the core functionality over the initial Call-Off Contract period. But the estimated range up to £500,000 includes all options and annual extensions.
