Description

West Cumberland Hospital is a hospital in Hensingham, a suburb of Whitehaven in Cumbria, England, and was the first district general hospital to be built in England following the creation of the National Health Service. It is managed by the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust which serves over 340,000 people. West Cumberland Hospital (WCH) is undergoing a huge upgrade in facilities for both patients and staff creating a better environment, retaining bed capacity and services for the site and providing for additional planned operations in the future. To enable these developments to take place, old hospital housing is being demolished, hence the requirement for Isolations to take place.
