Brief Description of Requirement UKRI Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy Consultation UKRI has announced a consultation on the organisation's draft Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy. The EDI strategy sets out UKRI's ambition for an inclusive research and innovation system and our long-term commitment to achieving this aim. The development of the strategy has been driven by wide-ranging engagement, discussion, and challenge from a wide variety of individuals and organisations with UKRI and its councils. The strategy outlines our ambition for a research and innovation system where: • everyone feels included, is heard, respected, and able to be their real self • different people, ideas, ways of thinking, skills, and perspectives are valued • people and ideas thrive, are supported, and encouraged • everyone can participate in, contribute to, and benefit from our investments in research, and innovation.

An open consultation on the strategy was launched on 13 January and will close on 28 March 2022. The consultation is open to anyone. We want everybody's voice to be heard. The consultation welcomes responses from anyone interested or involved in research and innovation, either as an individual, organisation or group to inform the refinement of the strategy and development of future action plans and measures. We expect to publish our first edition of the strategy in summer 2022. Please ensure you review all attached information to ensure a full understanding of this requirement.
