Description

Edwards Court is a brand new purpose built Extra Care Scheme in Exeter. A provider is sought to deliver 1;1 Care services (day and night) and maintain a 24 hour presence on site to ensure all residents have access to care and support services when they need them. The successful provider will work closely with the landlord, Exeter City Council, who will be providing the housing management service. The procurement comprises 3 contracts in a single Lot due to the aim to provide an integrated Care and Support service: - 1:1 Care and Support services (individual care packages) - Night Care and Support services (block contract) - Core Care and Support Services (24 hr presence on site) The service provider will need to be registered with CQC and able to deliver both personal care and enabling support services. They will also need to work closely with the landlord Exeter City Council to deliver a seamless service, through a jointly funded Scheme Manager post.

Other Information

The following contracts will be let for an initial period of 5 years with a renewal period of up to a further 5 years (10 in total) - 1:1 Care and Support - Night Care and Support The following contract will be let for a period of 30 years with no renewal period: - Core Care and Support Services Value: The Contract Value for the 3 contracts are as follows: Core Care and Support £2,901,750 1:1 Care and Support - £1,250,000 Night Care and Support - £650,000 This procurement replaces CP2196-21 which was abandoned due to the omission of some information essential to the delivery of service in both the service specification and tender documents. As a social housing scheme it is essential that Edwards Court is accessible to people reliant on a state pension; the requirement of 'affordability' was not explained fully in the service specification, and the pricing schedule did not state this as a requirement for the weekly service cost. These omissions have been addressed in this new procurement. Changes to the tender documents will be clearly outlined in the new tender documents that will be issued.
