Description
The London Borough of Hackney wishes to procure a Solihull Parenting Approach Service that will, map, coordinate and expand on the number of universal Solihull Approach parenting group interventions in various locations across Hackney, deliver Solihull Approach professional courses, and increase the take-up of free on-line Solihull Approach courses (Online Courses | Hackney) by parents/carers and professionals. The aim of the Service is to work with families with children aged 2 years and under, and with professionals to improve the quality of parent-infant relationships in Hackney so that babies and toddlers can feel safe and secure, and ensure they have the key competencies that will help them to thrive. The objectives of the Service are to: * increase the universal delivery of face-to-face Solihull Parenting Intervention groups - Understanding Your Child, Understanding Pregnancy, Labour, Birth & Your Baby' (antenatal course) and Understanding your baby (postnatal course) * coordinating and promoting the Solihull Approach Parenting app Online Courses | Hackney * deliver Solihull Approach professional training - Foundation Solihull Parenting Approach, Advanced Solihull Parenting Approach, Train the Trainer Solihull Parenting Approach and Solihull Parenting Approach Refresher Training * map details of staff who are already trained to establish and maintain a register of accredited staff * embed the Solihull Approach into front line services working with families with children aged 2 yrs old and under * undertake outreach and promotions to raise awareness of the importance of parent infant relationships and to increase uptake of Solihull Approach courses/interventions * provide oversight and clinical governance to new Solihull Approach Parenting group interventions * measure the impact of the Solihull Approach across the system There is an expectation that the mobilisation of this new service will face some challenges; we are happy to work with the provider to support this process and KPI's will be adjusted to reflect this. The anticipated total value of this contract is expected to be £300,120.00 or less over 13 months; plus an option for a further six month extension bringing the maximum total to a possible £430,000.
