Description

The Royal Navy requires both intra and inter autonomous maritime theatre lift capabilities in order to create a more cost effective and operationally agile logistic resupply solution for ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore capabilities, capable of being operated with minimal user involvement and minimal change to ships' infrastructure, systems and SOPs, whilst safely initiating deck landing automatically / autonomously, after navigating to and accurately locating the target vessel, in challenging day/night maritime operational environments. In order to fully prove the capability and deliver at pace of technological change, the Authority needs to understand effective routes to clearing these systems onto the Military Register; the ability to undertake Ship-Air clearances; the ability to automatically/ autonomously land and take off from shore and ships at sea, whilst being capable of advancing from Remotely Piloted Air Systems to Command and Control of an autonomous air system by RN programmers/operators.
