Description

The Council are considering our future arrangements for procuring Display Screen Equipment (DSE), Ergonomic Equipment and related services as required from preferred suppliers. This service is being commissioned on behalf of the Health and Safety Team in the Deputy Chief Executive’s Department.

Total Quantity or Scope

Kent County Council (the Council) is the largest local authority in England covering an area of 3,500 square kilometres. It has an annual expenditure of over £1bn on goods and services and a population of 1.6m. The Council provides a wide range of personal and strategic services on behalf of its residents, operating in partnership with the NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board, 12 district councils, and 289 parish/town councils. The Council consists of five directorates: • Adult Social Care and Health • Children, Young People and Education • Growth, Environment and Transport • Chief Executive’s Department • Deputy Chief Executive’s Department … We understand that providers may not be able to provide all of the required elements, but we invite interested parties to include details of which of the following three elements, or sub elements within them, that your organisation can provide with your expressions of interest: 1. The supplier(s) should offer a comprehensive package of specialist assessments including vehicle assessments. Timely detailed reports, with recommendations, should be given to the individual and manager. They should also offer both remote and face to face DSE assessments. 2. Enablement services should also be provided including ADHD screening, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) screening and workplace needs assessments. Assistive technology is also required for people with dyslexia, dyscalculia, visual impairments or hearing problems. The supplier(s) should also be able to provide advice and information, technical help, and a support line. 3. The supplier(s) should be able to provide a variety of ergonomic products including, but not limited to: a. ergonomic chairs – range of including fully adjustable, specialist and bariatric b. sit/stand desks and platforms c. ergonomic mice and keyboards d. monitor arms and stands e. document holders f. laptop stands g. writing slopes h. posture supports – foot, leg, wrist rests and lumbar support i. screen colour overlays j. bags and backpacks The supplier(s) should offer chair and desk delivery with installation, set up and support. The products should be delivered within 14 days, have a trial period and 30 days returns policy.
