Description

The Tenderer should be aware that the works detailed in this package are constrained due to the nature of the location they are to be conducted in. Therefore, completion of a NDA document is required prior to release of further details. Project location - HM Naval Base Portsmouth The Contractor shall be expected to adhere by the HMNB site security requirements, all Contractors and Sub-Contractors shall be BPSS security vetted and will be required to hold the relevant site security passes. The Contractor shall be expected to hold the following levels of insurance £10m Public Liability, £10m Product Liability, £5m Professional Indemnity. The contractor shall be registered on JOSCAR and hold a Cyber Essentials certificate. KBS Maritime - Introduction KBS Maritime is a joint venture between KBR and BAE Systems, bringing together two global players with a rich heritage of delivering excellence, innovation and reliability. The joint venture will combine the expertise of KBR as a global leader in infrastructure asset management and services with BAE Systems' experience and capability within Portsmouth Naval Base. KBS Maritime are delivering an ambitious, modern and enduring change to the Portsmouth Naval base infrastructure, securing investment in the local community and ensuring fit-for-purpose, world-leading fleet support for the Royal Navy and the UK in the decades ahead. Part of the UK Ministry of Defence's (MOD) Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP), KBS Maritime will provide technology-led and data-driven facilities management and dockside services at the base. Project scope 2x passenger lifts and 1x firefighter lift require lifecycle replacements to sustain the buildings for the next 25 years. 1x passenger lift requires repair or replacement to sustain the building for the next 15 years. For each lift, the Contractor shall: - Develop the provided RIBA 2 concept design into detailed design for review by KBS Maritime. - Detailed design to include options for finishes for internal and external surfaces including floors, walls, architraves, doors, ceiling, lighting, control panel style, etc. Finishes shall be easily cleaned and maintained, and in keeping with the building style. - Remove and dispose of redundant lift and associated equipment - Refurbish any equipment, beams, fixing points etc that are being re-used - Install and commission new lift and equipment, including telephone connection. Allow time for KBS Maritime to witness parts of the commissioning. - Provide operator and maintainer training. - Provide a quote for an annual service agreement, including all planned maintenance and costs/times for call outs
