Description

The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is seeking interest from consultants who can prepare and draft a design for the Ripple Nature Reserve. This project will require collaboration with the stakeholder group throughout the design process. There should be careful consideration of the design criteria set out in the documentation provided by LBBD. This is site with lots of resident interest and is a hugely important ecological site for the Borough with SINC classification. It has been closed for 10 years but this design will help to get the site reopened to the public. The successful bidder will have to report directly to LBBD. Consultants are expected to produce several key elements of this work: - Demonstrate understanding of the site and the historical and ecological context - Assessment of the needs of the stakeholder groups - Produce a high-quality design that takes into account the different needs of the stakeholders - Produce a design that meets the criteria laid out in the design brief and present the findings where appropriate The Council is keen to progress this work rapidly so it is important to meet the deadlines set out in the tender. The contract price is capped at £40,000 excluding VAT.
