Description

The new City Hall contains 8 vertical air handling units (AHUs) accessed from the co-working space. At present, temporary scaffolding needs to be erected every time routine maintenance is performed. A permanent solution is required to allow for routine AHU maintenance to take place safely, without additional costs and long lead times being incurred. This permanent solution was not originally envisaged during the original refurbishment works to City Hall due to the unforeseen frequency and cost of assembling temporary structures for maintenance of the AHUs. To address these maintenance issues, a permanent gantry is currently being designed by Architecture 00 with cost consultancy input.
