Description

This is a contract award notice for the delivery of first-time double glazing and/or high-performance external doors to approximately 120 households across Shropshire. Each appointed contractor will be contracted to install measures at a minimum of 40 properties.

Total Quantity or Scope

This is an award notice, Shropshire Council has secured Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) phase 2 funding to support the installation of a number of energy efficiency measures to homes across the County. The HUG scheme aims to raise the energy efficiency of low-income and low EPC rated homes, delivering progress towards: reducing fuel poverty, the phasing out of high carbon fossil fuel heating and the UK's commitment to net zero by 2050. Measures will be delivered across all housing tenures, with a focus on the private sector. Shropshire Council are looking to appoint up to three contractors to help deliver first-time double glazing and/or high-performance external doors to approximately 120 households across Shropshire. … The Council is seeking experienced high quality contractors that can deliver works in line with relevant accreditations including Trustmark, FENSA and PAS2035. The contractor(s) will be customer focused and able to support and deliver the works through existing local supply arrangements. Where necessary, this should include a training and support package including quality assurance on completed installs if working via a local sub-contractor framework. Installs to run from April 2024 to end of March 2025 with a potential extension to the end of March 2026 (subject to additional funding being secured by the Authority).
