Description

The aim of this service is to focus on primary prevention (i.e. preventing a first injurious fall) by improving on strength and balance, working collaboratively with relevant partners such as our in-house lifestyles service, Healthy Sandwell or with local NHS services for example, to provide falls awareness information and connect residents to reduce social isolation / loneliness.

This notice is an intention to award a contract under the competitive process of the The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £238,827.19‬. This is considered an existing service that has been awarded to a new provider. The Contract length is 2 years, from 19/07/2024 to 18/07/2026 plus 1 year optional extension period.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regine) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 13 June 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award a contract under the competitive process of the PSR. The relative importance of the key criteria was as follows: 1. Quality and innovation, 10%; 2. Value, 60% (of this 50% was Price and 10% was Value considerations); 3. Integration, collaboration, and service sustainability, 10%; 4. Improving access, reducing health inequalities and facilitating choice, 10%; 5. Social Value, 10%. This also took account of the Council's own policies in regards to Procurement procedures. The assessment panel was made up of council staff. The assessment panel was facilitated by a Procurement officer. All bidders were assessed using the assessment criteria outlined in the Invitation to Competitive Tender. The successful bidder passed the basic selection criteria and was the highest scoring in regard to the Key Criteria.
