Description

Tier 3 Weight Management services delivers proactive care for people at risk of, or living with, frailty across Northern Lincolnshire. They deliver an MDT led, NICE guidance compliant service supporting adults including a multi-component model of behaviour change with holistic care plans, lifestyle support, exercise, nutrition and dietetics, psychological support and GP review. The service utilises a behavioural change approach is based on the principles of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and positive psychology, supporting people for 12 months to achieve and maintain clinically significant weight loss with appropriate referrals onto the Tier 4 Bariatric provider, in line with local criteria.

Total Quantity or Scope

NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB is intending to award a contract an existing provider following direct award process C of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Approximate lifetime value of the contract is £1,991,130. Contract term 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2028 (contract term may be extended by 1 year to 30 June 2029).

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 23:59hrs 20th June 2024. Provider representations in relation to this intention to award notice should be submitted in writing to hnyicb.procurement@nhs.net This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR. The contract award was approved by the Place Director (North Lincolnshire) and Place Director of Finance (North Lincolnshire) and Place Director (North East Lincolnshire) and Place Director of Finance (North East Lincolnshire). No conflicts of interest have been declared in relation to the contract award.
