Description

King's College London and its partners are in the final construction stages of The Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People. Based at our Denmark Hill Campus in South London this is a combined research (university) and clinical service (NHS) centre which aims to make a transformative leap forward in the research of mental health of children and young people. The centre will contain cutting-edge clinical research equipment alongside a dedicated research collaboration hub, making this unique facility available to collaborators from all sectors across the UK. One of the labs in this building will be used to acquire human EEG. To minimise electromagnetic interference (EMI) in the data we collect, we require a shielded room (Faraday cage) to be built inside an existing room. This procurement focuses on the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and validation of an EM shielded room (Faraday cage) Electrical Discharge Machining system to enable the manufacture of medical device prototypes and their constituent components.
