Description
Community Based Model Diabetic Eye Service across Cheshire and delivering DESP screening pathways according to National Service Specification 22.
Total Quantity or Scope
Regarding the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme there has nationally been the implementation of interval changes over a 2-year period, the second phase will be from September 2024. There are also national plans to transfer the responsibilities for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to diabetic eye screening programmes, along with changes to the requirements of IT systems to support the change. To allow for the implementation of pending changes and prepare for a competitive procurement process in 2026 the Relevant Authority intends to award a contract to an existing provider under Direct Award C of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This contract will be for a period on 1-year to commence on 01 April 2025 and end on 31 March 2026. The annual contract value is 1507212 GBP.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR 2023) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
