Description

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") is conducting this procurement process using the open procedure in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("PCR"). The procurement documentation has been made available following the publication of the Contract Notice on the UK e-notification service. Tenders are invited by the Council from Contractors with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for the provision of Specialist Works (the "Works") under a proposed Framework Agreement. The Framework Agreement will consist of 4 Lots: Lot 1 - Damp Works & Miscellaneous Associated Works Lot 2 - Timber Infestation Treatment & Miscellaneous Associated Works Lot 3 - Mould Eradication Lot 4 - Solid Floor/Minor Structural Works The framework will be advertised on YORtender (tender platform) - https://yortender.eusupply.com

Lot Division

1 Damp Works & Miscellaneous Associated Works
  • Value: £4M

The majority of the Works will be to social housing, but the Framework Agreement will also cover Works to schools and other associated council buildings. In addition to the Works, H&N may choose to procure specialist treatment works for larger schemes (estimated values £40k and above or more than 2 properties on the same footprint or block) by seeking competitive tenders/quotations/further competition for these works. Whilst this Framework has been designed predominantly for Damp Works and Timber Infestation Treatment Works, successful Contractors will be expected to undertake the associated works within Homes & Neighbourhoods domestic housing properties. This will ensure that these Works do not have a detrimental effect on our tenants or on our KPIs for Void Properties. LOT 1 is for Damp Works and Miscellaneous Associated Works

2 Timber Infestation Treatment & Miscellaneous Associated Works
  • Value: £3M

In addition to the Works, H&N may choose to procure specialist treatment works for larger schemes (estimated values £40k and above or more than 2 properties on the same footprint or block) by seeking competitive tenders/quotations/further competition for these works. 4 Solid Floor/Minor Structural Works
  • Value: £120K

The majority of the Works will be to social housing, but the Framework Agreement will also cover Works to schools and other associated council buildings. In addition to the Works, H&N may choose to procure specialist treatment works for larger schemes (estimated values £40k and above or more than 2 properties on the same footprint or block) by seeking competitive tenders/quotations/further competition for these works. Renewal Options

The anticipated commencement date is 1st November 2024, with an initial term of 36 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months. The Contract term shall not exceed 48 months.
