Description

Contract to appoint a lead provider to deliver Healthy Weight Services in Liverpool. The model will be a Tier 2 service, with Tier 1 universal messaging and health promotion to help people change behaviour and self-manage their lifestyle behaviours..

Total Quantity or Scope

Provision of Healthy Weight Services delivering an evidence-based multi-component Tier two offer to support both the prevention and management of excess weight in children, young people and their families (age 5-16, up to 25 with SEND), those who are care experienced, adults and pregnant women. The model is a Tier 2 service, with Tier 1 universal messaging and health promotion to help people change behaviour and self-manage their lifestyle behaviours. This is new service with a new service provider and the lifetime value is £2,460,960. The contract is expected to start on 01/11/2024 for a period of three years with the option to extend by a further two years (+ one year + one year). This notice is an intention to award a contract under the competitive process of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023

The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by midnight on 9th October 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award a contract under the competitive process of the PSR.’ Written representations should be sent to commercialprocurement@liverpool.gov.uk for the attention of the Head of Procurement and Contracts and/or by post to Head of Procurement and Contracts, Commercial Procurement Unit, Liverpool City Council, Cunard Building, Water Street, Liverpool L3 1AH. The key criteria for the award were weighted:- , Quality and Innovation 60%, Value 10%, Integration/Collaboration/Service Sustainability 10%, Improving Access/Reducing Health Inequalities/Choice 10% and Social Value 10%. The provider selected achieved the highest overall score against the weighted key criteria. Quality and innovation received the highest weighting as these aspects are fundamental to transforming existing weight management services and achieving the contract objectives. The remaining key criteria were considered to be of equal importance.
