Description

NELFT support the development and implementation of Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) throughout the Trust in order to facilitate safe and timely access to medicines, thereby supporting high quality patient care. High quality training, supervision and ongoing professional development of the workforce are critical to supporting safe, effective and appropriate prescribing. NMP makes better use of the skills of health professionals and contributes to more flexible team working across the NHS. The demand for non-medical staff to undertake prescribing programmes is growing and NELFT require more bespoke and local delivered programmes.
