Other Information

Swindon Borough Council has taken the decision to abandon the current tender process in relation to the procurement of food and catering supplies. When creating the evaluation spreadsheet for the award stage questions, the council identified a number of errors within its published tender documentation, specifically in the instructions to tenderers stated evaluation criteria for lot specific questions 6.1.14 and 6.1.15 with regard to the applicable lots which bidders should respond to and Section 6 Tender award questions where the lot specific answers were requested. The council has determined it is necessary to amend these errors only to ensure that the council can achieve its duties in relation to best value, transparency and equal treatment of all bidders as these errors could have caused bidders some confusion. The council is therefore abandoning the current tender process and will be issuing a new tender. It is currently anticipated that the new tender opportunity will be advertised on the new find a tender service (which has recently replaced OJEU), contracts finder and the supplying the South West portal shortly and we would encourage all bidders to register their interest and download the new tender documents to participate as this will be a new tender opportunity.
