Description
NHS England Specialised Commissioning and the Mental Health Team are working jointly to commission a Psychological Support Service for those infected and affected by infected blood, in response to the Interim Inquiry Report. This service can only be delivered by existing commissioned Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centres (HCCC).
Total Quantity or Scope
This is a Transparency - Intention to Award Notice - to inform market of the RelevantAuthority’s intention to Award a Contract to the Most Suitable Provider under the HealthCare Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Most Suitable ProviderProcess.NHS England Specialised Commissioning and the Mental Health Team are working jointly tocommission a Psychological Support Service for those infected and affected by infectedblood, in response to the Interim Inquiry Report. This service can only be delivered byexisting commissioned Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centres (HCCC).The lifetime value of the contract covering all Lots is expected to be approximately£22,809,000.00.This is a new service and will be delivered by existing providers. It is anticipated that theservices will commence as soon as possible following expiry of the standstill period for an initial period of 5 years with an option toextend for a further 2 years. Additional information: This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by midnight on Monday 18th November 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.This is the third and final intention to award notice that has been published and covers the outcome for Lot 9 which is now awarded following receipt of further information that was required from the provider. The Relevant Authority is of the view, taking into account likely providers and all relevant information available to it at this time, that it has identified the most suitable provider for this Lot.Each of the 5 Key Criteria elements were balanced with equal priority and considered on this basis. Following assessment, it was agreed that the provider is capable of meeting the service specification and is an existing Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre which was an essential requirement.This decision has been made as per NHS England governance processes, by Delegated Commissioning Group on 28th May 2024.
