Description

This PIN is being released for prior information only by the Home Office ("the Authority") to notify the market of its intention to hold an open early market engagement event to seek views and feedback from the market in relation to the provision of Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure Software Support, Helpdesk Services, Application Software Support, System Support, Continuous Improvement and Change Management Services for the new national Fire and Rescue Data Platform ("FaRDaP") (formerly the Incident Reporting System), and to understand the level of competition, capability and capacity within the market to deliver these core service requirements. About FaRDaP FaRDaP System will be utilised by 44 Fire and Rescue Services across England, Wales, and Scotland to record local level fire and rescue incident data and currently has a user base of 20,000 with 250 concurrent users on the System at any given time. The system captures circa. 2 million records per annum, a number anticipated to grow in the incoming years. In addition, the Platform retains extensive historical data ensuring availability for real-time reporting.

The Authority intends to conduct a virtual, Early Market Engagement (EME) event on Friday 31st January 2025 between 11:30hrs - 12:30hrs The event will: Provide Suppliers with an overview of the FaRDaP IT support and service requirements, procurement process and proposed delivery timescales. The Authority will also make available a separate Request for Information (RFI) document. This document will provide further details that potential Suppliers can use to better understand the core service requirements, as well as a template in which the Authority would welcome and encourage Suppliers to respond. Suppliers who require access to the RFI will be required to complete and sign the Authority Non-Disclosure Agreement in order to protect the confidentiality of any information Suppliers provide as part of the RFI response. The event will be held remotely via MS Teams. The Home Office may in the future wish to undertake further EME events, via various means (e.g. meetings, questionnaires) with some, or all Suppliers involved in the process. Please note that participation, or non-participation in this EME event will not influence or restrict your ability to take part in the further competition. The Authority reserves the right not to proceed with a competitive procurement exercise or to award any contract. All costs associated with responding to this notice or participating in the EME event shall be borne by the Supplier(s).
