Description

The quantum technology transfer centre at the University of Birmingham, as part of the quantum hub for metrology and sensors, has contracted for a hydrogen maser: • At least one 10MHz output • At least one pulse per second (PPS) output • All outputs to be 50 Ohm impedance • Integrated battery power supply able to power the unit for greater than 12 hours in the event of mains power failure • Stability of <1E-13 at 1 seconds averaging time • Stability of <2E-15 at 10,000 seconds averaging time • Phase noise -120dBc/Hz or better at 1Hz offset, -150dBc/Hz or better at 1kHz offset • Magnetic sensitivity <2E-14 per gauss • Temperature sensitivity of <1E-15 per degree Celsius • Operational lifetime of 20 years or greater • Remote monitoring via platform agnostic computer interface. • Warranty period of >3years • Powered by standards UK plug and mains.
