Description

Museum and visitor service venues aim to sustain a reputation for excellent customer service, and good quality locally sourced food to reflect the prestige and quality experience of visiting such a unique property. This tender will appoint one main catering supplier or provider with a potential reserve list of up to two providers to cater for events taking place within the Guildhall and other facilities within the remit of the museum and visitor services team to help deliver a quality and memorable experience. Events that will require informal catering range from meetings to conferences and receptions. On request, event organisers will be provided with the preferred supplier in the first instance and the reserve suppliers as secondary suppliers who will offer a range of menus. The Derry City and Strabane District Council Chamber and Mayor’s requirements are mandatory and the successful applicant must prioritise these services at all times. Catering will be required for all Council meetings and all Mayors events. Council meetings are held throughout each month and catering is booked one year in advance, with the exception of ad-hoc meetings, which arise. These meetings take place in the Guildhall Chamber. The Mayor’s office also requires catering on a regular basis and catering can be for meetings or for Mayors civic receptions. These meetings/receptions normally take place in either the Mayors Parlour, the Whittaker Suite or the Main Hall in the Guildhall.
