Description

National Manufacturing Institute of Scotland (NMIS) require a cryogenic material tester for superconductors to perform tensile testing on superconducting cables under electrical load.

Total Quantity or Scope

A cryogenic material tester for superconductors is required to perform tensile testing on superconducting cables under electrical load. The testing needs to cover tensile with a temperature range of Room Temperature down to 4 Kelvin. The machine also needs to be able to perform tensile and compression testing on non superconductor samples from RT to 4 Kelvin.
