Description

The University intends to replace lights with LEDs that do not have smart features as part of the modernisation of the Estate and work towards energy reduction targets. The technology offers cost saving opportunities for the University through maximising energy efficiency, self-testing emergency lighting and rooms occupancy profiling. It is envisioned that classrooms and central communal facilities will become the focus of smart lighting installations, but suitability will be evaluated on a project by project basis. The purpose of the tender is to identify a smart lighting manufacture(s) who will be used as our standard suppliers for the duration of the agreement. The Lots are as follows:

Lot Division

1 Full IoT Controls

High quality light fittings which will require occupancy heat mapping and emergency self-testing lighting feature, including core smart controls (occupancy, daylight dimming and scene setting programmability) and advanced features.

2 Cost Effective Smart Lighting

This lot is focused on identifying a supplier who offers an IoT solution that can offer core smart lighting features and quality fittings at a cost that can demonstrate project payback under 5 years.
