Description
North Ayrshire Council is seeking to appoint service providers to supplement their in-house provision of a repairs and maintenance service to vehicle, plant and equipment and any associated equipment fitted to vehicles. The service requirement includes repairs, services, routine planned inspections and maintenance to vehicles, plant and any associated equipment fitted to vehicles. Any work that cannot be completed in-house will be called off from this framework as and when required. The services will be delivered in North Ayrshire including the islands of Arran and Cumbrae. The scope of services is divided into 3 lots.
Lot Division
1 | Repair and Maintenance of Grounds Maintenance Vehicles, Plant and Hand-held Equipment Ad-hoc repair and maintenance work will be required to be carried out on the following ride-on and pedestrian plant and equipment including: — heavy grounds maintenance, plant and equipment; — light grounds vehicles; — van trailers, spraying equipment, cylinder mowers, chippers and shredders; — agricultural tractors; — compact tractors and mini-excavators; — tractor mounted attachments. |
2 | Repair and Maintenance of Vehicle Lifts and Hook Loaders Service and repair of vehicle passenger and tail lifts and truck mounted hook loaders will be required for the following: — underfloor and inboard passenger tail lifts; — van and truck mounted tail lifts; — hook and crane mounted loaders. |
3 | Welding and Fabrication Services for Light/Heavy Commercial Vehicles and Plant Work will be required to the following vehicles; — vehicles below 3.5 T; — vehicles 3.5 T to 7.5 T; — vehicles 7.5 T to 32 T; — heavy grounds maintenance and equipment; — general welding and fabrications. |
