Description

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) have an aging fleet of High Pressure Breathing Air Compressors located around approx. 40 GMFRS fire station premises, which are coming to the end of their life and will require replacement over the next 2 to 4 years. GMCA on behalf of GMFRS are seeking proposals from suitably qualified providers to offer suitable equipment to meet this requirement.

2. II.1.5 Estimated total value

Value excluding VAT: 300 480 000.00 GBP

3. II.2.4 Description of the procurement

The intention is that GMFRS will replace between 5 and 10 of its existing breathing air compressors over the next two years, with possibly a further 10 compressors over the following 2 years. The proposed replacements would take place as follows: 5 x Up to 10 compressors ordered/replaced during 2021/22, 5 x in Year 1 of the contract Up to 10 compressors 2022/23 in Year 2 of the contract Possible replacement of a further 10 compressors in total over years 2023-2024 & 2024-2025. 3 and 4 of the contract. (with the option of additional compressor replacements throughout the duration of the contract).
