Novation of contract for Highway Maintenance Services between Skanska (current contractor), Milestone Infrastructure Limited (replacement contractor) and Somerset County Council (customer)

This notice is in relation to a novation of contract. The novating agreement between the current contractor and customer is in respect of Highway Maintenance services and will be novated to the replacement contractor as of 31st March 2021.

Legal Justification

This notice is publishing a novation agreement, therefore no prior publication was required as per clause 72 (1) (d) (ii) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015. As per the requirement of this clause, a review has been completed to ensure the replacement contractor fulfils the criteria for qualitative selection that were initially established.

Please be aware that the contract is due to expire on 31st March 2024 with the option to extend for a further 3 x 12 months. £23,000,000 per annum, a total of £69,000,000 for the remaining contract period, up to a maximum of £138,000,000 if all contract extensions provided for are used.
