Description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of Warwickshire North CCG (the Commissioner) would like to inform the market of the intention to procure GP Services (APMS) for a new GP practice in North Nuneaton. The Commissioner is seeking market input to support the development of its proposals prior to publication of the formal procurement opportunity. If your organisation wishes to contribute, please register against Quote/tender 43367 in EU Supply (https://uk.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=agcsu) and complete the short questionnaire providing any rationale behind your responses. This information will be kept confidential and considered in designing the scope of the service. The Commissioner is looking to procure new primary medical care services in the North Nuneaton (Weddington) area. GP cover is needed in this area due to the predicted population growth of 4000 homes and up to 10,000 new people through to 2031. The new practice will initially be located at an interim site at St Nicolas Park Clinic but will subsequently relocate to a new building. A CCG stakeholder workshop has identified Top Farm as the preferred site of the new building. A final decision on the site is dependent on the outcome of the Warwickshire County Council schools bid which would support the financial viability of this site linked to investment associated with the build of a new secondary school. The suggested contract duration is 8 years; with the option to extend for a further 7 years (total contract duration of 15 years), however this is subject to approval from NHSE Commercial Executive Group. The service must be GP led and provided by GPs, nurses and other clinical professionals or healthcare workers. The successful Provider will be expected to: • Provide primary care services which are accessible, convenient and responsive • Design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment • Reduce unplanned admissions to hospital by enabling patients to seek urgent care from a GP or Nurse practitioner • Have processes in place to evaluate and continually improve on patient satisfaction • Have processes in place to engage effectively with the local communities • Participate in National Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) • Be eligible for and expected to provide all Enhanced Services, remunerated in line with the relevant Directions as specified by the commissioner on an annual basis. • Promote healthy living with the aim of tackling the underlying causes of ill health. • Work in a network with other practices across the local area. The Commissioners will be holding a Webinar at 10:45am on Tuesday 16th March 2021. Dial in details for the Webinar will be circulated to delegates once the registration process closes at 14:00 on Friday 12th March 2021.

The Commissioner will then provide a response to all questions received. If further information is required, the Commissioner will be giving potential providers the opportunity for one to one telephone discussions with the Commissioning Team on the afternoon of Wednesday 14th April. The objective of these sessions is to discuss the service and understand any issues and concerns that may stop a potential provider from tendering for the opportunity. Providers must note meeting slots are available on a first come first serve basis and if your preferred time slot is not available, the next available time slot will be allocated to you. A time slot will only be booked once the provider has confirmed acceptance of the allocated timeslot. The telephone appointments will last no more than 20 minutes per provider.
