Description

The Council requires a supplier for the provision of pedestrian counting devices in Birmingham city centre. Birmingham has been granted funding under ERDF Reopening High Streets Safely Fund to support the safe reopening of high streets and other commercial areas. The money will allow Birmingham to put in place additional measures to establish a safe trading environment for businesses and customers, particularly in high streets, through measures that extend to the end of March 2021. A key measurement tool for this fund and to demonstrate economic recovery is to record footfall data. We are looking for pedestrian counting devices in four city centre Business Improvement District's: 1. Retail BID 2. Colmore BID 3. Southside BID 4. Jewellery Quarter BID We require installation of pedestrian counting devices on a 12-month subscription basis and do not wish to purchase any equipment/devices. This contract is available for use for projects funded externally from the Council including Reopening High Streets Safely Fund which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth. Timescales Installation of all devices by 31 March 2021.
