Description

The DPS will be divided into appropriate lots of work.

Lot Division

1

Scope of works include: The supply and planting of a range of different types of plant material, from large scale structure planting to individual trees and ornamental planting in formal gardens and parks and some minor hard work elements.

Scope of works include: Construction of new and the refurbishment of existing playgrounds. General park and open space improvement works; including new/resurfacing of paths, minor earthworks, installation of small scale/repair drainage systems, fencing/railings/gates/walls, and installation of street furniture. Improvements to lakes and ponds including relining/edging works, installation of platforms, walkways, and edge reinstatement. The laying of safety surfaces and floor paint/marking systems for sports and school grounds.

Scope of works include: Large scale urban projects, works to undertake earthworks and regrading of sites including embankments, which may involve conversion of former industrial sites to open space/parks end uses. Including completion of associated hard / soft landscape works and planting.

Scope of works include: Minor works packages to repair, replace and/or renew assets including signage, new play equipment, minor drainage works, surfacing and soft landscaping and maintenance. Including completion of associated landscape works.

Scope of works include: Minor works packages which require encroachment into the Highway, which can include drainage works, road / footpath repairs in accordance with KMBC Highways standards and Traffic signs Manual Chapter 8. Including completion of associated landscape works.

Scope of works include: Supply and installation of prefabricated building units, which are designed bespoke to the required need. Works packages can include building design and installation.

Scope of works include: Demolition of built infrastructure. Works packages can include removal of buildings, structural elements, foundations, capping of services, basic remediation of the ground to ensure the site is left safe, including supply, and spread of topsoil.

Scope of works include: Supply and installation of structural engineered infrastructure. Works packages can include installation of structural walls, foundations, and small-scale bridge units.

Scope of works include: Improvements to existing natural grass playing fields and other sports facilities, including minor earthworks, levelling by blade-grading, installation of land drainage/surface water drainage and attenuation systems, grass and wildflower seeding, sand banding, sand amelioration, landscape establishment maintenance and other associated works. This would cover football, rugby, golf, bowling, and cricket facilities.

Scope of works include: The construction of new and refurbishment of existing 3G Football, Rugby and Hockey Pitches, Athletics Tracks, Cricket Wickets, Multi-use Games Areas (MUGAs) and Tennis Courts to include, drainage, base works, shock-pad installation, synthetic surfacing/turf installation, fencing, floodlighting and associated landscaping and maintenance works.

Scope of works include: Establishment maintenance of existing soft landscape areas or newly completed planting schemes prior to handover, ranging from forestry / structure planting to ornamental planting.

Scope of works include: Regular management works to ensure proper functioning of streams, water courses and ponds including SUDS drainage systems; and including the management and control of aquatic vegetation and engineered apparatus such as hydro-brakes, penstocks and culvert flaps.

Scope of works include: Piped drainage survey and pipe clearance / repair works.

Scope of works include: Invasive weed treatment and control.

Scope of works include: Removal of unwanted / fly tipped material and general clearance of sites including removal of damaged infrastructure, leaving them in a basic cleaned condition.

Scope of works include: All tree maintenance works such as felling and stump/limb removal and pruning, including crown thinning, raising and reduction and epicormic growth removal to BS3998 or equivalent using mechanical lifts and aerial climbing techniques. Also, could include 24-hour callouts. Including working close to highways with Traffic signs Manual Chapter 8.

Scope of works include: All woodland management works such as brash / regeneration removal, thinning, felling, restocking, stump/limb removal/treatment and pruning to BS3998 or equivalent.

Supply and install play area surfacing to BS or equivalent.

Design, manufacture, Supply, or supply and install of external signage, plinths, or mounts to BS 559:2009 or equivalent.

Renewal Options

The DPS period can later be amended (extended, shortened, terminated) subject to the notification on the relevant standard form.
