Description

The Money and Pensions Service is inviting applications from specialist debt advice providers to support customers receiving mental health crisis treatment in England who are referred for a Mental Health Crisis Breathing Space. The grant recipient will ensure that referrals made by approved mental health professionals are dealt with in a timely way so that eligible customers gain the protections offered by Breathing Space for the duration of their mental health crisis treatment. Where feasible, MaPS would also like the grant recipient to provide these customers with specialist debt advice after their crisis treatment. As this is a new project, the provider will work with MaPS to co-design the offer, identifying ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and supporting MaPS with its evaluation of the project.
