Description
Jisc has entered into a contract with Elsevier B.V. for Cell Press which is an imprint of Elsevier, publishes biology research and reviews. Cell press journals include the flagship journal cell, neuron, immunity, molecular cell, developmental cell, cancer cell, current biology, structure, chemistry and biology, cell metabolism, cell host and microbe and cell stem cell.

Legal Justification
This publishing option is for a journal that is unique to this publisher. Therefore Jisc is clear that the arrangement falls within the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights, contained within Regulation 32(2)(b)(iii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, permitting Jisc to enter into the direct award.
Other Information
The contract value is an estimate based on the aggregate sum of the subscription fees that will be paid to the supplier by Jisc member institutions; Jisc Collections itself makes no payment to the supplier for this service.
