You are invited to submit an offer for a contract for Isolated and Uninterruptible Power Supply Maintenance at West Wales General Hospital, as per the Specification detailed below. The contract will commence on 1st April 2021 to cover a term of: One year with an optional second year extension. The optional second year extension is strictly at the Health Board’s discretion. The equipment is based at: West Wales General Hospital, Glangwili, Carmarthen, SA31 2AF. Technical queries in relation to the Quotation are to be addressed with: Mr Paul Hill / Mr Kevin Jones Operations Support Officer / Assistant Site Operations Manager West Wales General Hospital Tel: 01267 227942 / 01267227981 E-mail: Paul.Hill3@wales.nhs.uk/Kevin.Jones6@wales.nhs.uk MAINTENANCE OF UPS & IPS SYSTEMS - This specification details the requirements for the ongoing maintenance and emergency repairs of the equipment as per the enclosed Equipment Schedule. As some of the equipment is located in critical areas, costing is required only for services to take place Outside normal working hours. Normal working hours are defined as Monday - Friday, between 09:00 and 17:00. This is so that units are able to isolated and tested. Please note: During the manufacturer’s warranty period, all the below should be included within this contract: Emergency call out travel and labour costs Parts Repair work travel and labour costs Batteries This specification is based on 2 Preventative, routine visits per year (for UPS) and 1 Preventative routine site visit (for IPS) per year, dates/times to be negotiated directly with Estates Dept staff and to include: All tests undertaken must comply with HTM 06-01 Part B. The services must comprise, during check-up visits: . A visual inspection of the equipment. . The taking of electrical measurements to establish the operational state of the equipment . Physically checking electrical connections for tightness. . Checking and resetting where necessary, the relevant pre-set adjustments. . The rectification of any faults found. . Recommending any action necessary to maintain or improve the reliability of the equipment. . Introduction of resistive earth faults to verify the earth monitoring system. (IPS systems only) . Cooling fan and filter clean and verification of thermostat operation. (IPS systems only) . Full battery bank check. (UPS systems only) Hywel Dda Health Board requires Telephone/Emergency support 24/7 to be included, as part of this Maintenance contract with a Next Working Day response to site during normal working hours. All labour and travel for maintenance visits are to be included in the cost of the proposal. Call outs and spare parts are not included as per the contract specification. A schedule of agreed rates has been included as part of the Pricing Schedule (Section C) and must be completed, for out of hours work and also, both evening and weekend additional rates.
