Description
Guinness Property (GP) has recently undergone a significant transformation, with resourcing derived from demand, new systems and processes for delivering the work and are now organised on a regional basis: North East, North West, South Central and South Coast with a Planned Maintenance team operating in the North. GP employ around 440 people in total, of which around 70% are field based operatives. The roll-out of new systems and processes to deliver the work has so far focused on repairs. In order to implement new systems and processes redesigned for all other services, a new IT solution for planning and scheduling is required. The Programme is now is ready to move to that next stage which involves the procurement of a single system solution to enable the roll-out and take wider opportunities in line with TGP’s IT strategy. This includes the integration of systems via the Azure integration layer, and Cloud hosting of the single system solution. To enable TGP to deliver on these objectives and provide a specialist team for the implementation, TGP plans to embark on the procurement of a Systems Integrator to manage the implementation. Guinness is looking to contract with a Systems Integrator to assist in achieving our goal of modernising the overall system architecture and exploiting the opportunity to move applications onto cloud hosting (saving further operating costs and reducing business risk). The primary role of the Systems Integrator (SI) will be to deliver the end to end design, implement the single system solution and manage work across other third-party suppliers as needed. It is expected that the SI will provide and manage resources to deliver the integrations via the Azure integration layer, whilst the single system provider will be responsible for the design and delivery of the single system configuration. The SI will also be required to produce an initial systems architecture blueprint to identify the integration points that will need to be refactored in the future when the related systems are migrated to the Cloud, and identify how overall system solution performance will be validated.
