Description

NWTC wish to implement a contract to provide PhacoEmulsification Machines with Associated Handpieces, Cassettes and MICS Needles. For clarity, no other consumables ie. drapes, syringes, swabs etc form part of this procurement exercise.

Total Quantity or Scope

NWTC Board will consider this option to purchase a maximum of 7 Phacoemulsification machines with associated Handpieces, cassettes and MICS Needles. The initial requirement is for equipment to support 4 theatres with a possible 5th and 6th theatre being added within the lifecycle of this contract. Also it would be expected that we would have one spare unit for possible equipment failures and issues.

Quantities stated anywhere with the documentation or contract notice is provided for indication only and is not binding to NWTC Board. This tender will be evaluated based on the most economically advantageous tender submission (MEAT). Only the top 2 scoring contractors will be taken forward to the Clinical Trial. Tender responses will be evaluated against the award criteria stated below: Selection criteria: noted above — all tenders passing this stage will be taken to the next stage. Mandatory requirements: all tenders must meet all the conditions detailed in the mandatory specification to be taken to the next stage. Non-clinical evaluation: all remaining suppliers will be requested to present their product at a non-clinical evaluation. Further details are included within the specification. The non-clinical evaluation will assist the project team in scoring the responses. Clinical evaluation: a maximum of 2 top scoring suppliers will then be requested to take part in a clinical evaluation. This will further assist the project team in scoring the responses. Further details are included within the specification. NWTC will evaluate bids for Lot 1 and Lot 2 and determine which option is most favourable to the board at that time.
