Legal Justification
These modifications are made under the provisions set out in Regulation 72 (1) (c) (i), (ii) and (iii). Procurement Policy Note - Responding to COVID-19 PPN 01/20 (pp 6-7) also refers. The demand for goods supplied by this contract, as a direct consequence of COVID-19, have significantly increased above business as usual activity which is resulting in the need to uplift the value of the contract. While there are planned measures for disruption to normal business activities, the scale of the impact of COVID-19 and the uncertain duration could not have been foreseen by the Contracting Authority.
Other Information
The current Contract 13292 is to be increased in value to a total of £368,000.00.
