Description
Skills Development Scotland, on behalf of Scottish Government invites bids to deliver Modern Apprenticeship (MA) services for starts for year 2021-22, plus optional two 1 year extensions for 2022-23 and 2023-24, at SDS discretion. Such services will continue to be delivered for the duration of the apprenticeship (in-training). The dual purpose of the MA Programme is to support individuals to learn while in work; and economic growth across Scotland. MAs are a joint investment between employers/public funding. Employers invest through wage costs and on-going support and public funding contributes towards the costs or training. There are 4 Lots available to bid for, Lot 1 Providers Lowlands & Uplands, Lot 2 Providers Highlands & Islands, Lot 3 Providers South of Scotland, Lot 4 Employers. Please note the value of 243m GBP is an indicative value based on annual value of 81m GBP. The 243m GBP is only if the optional two plus 1year extensions is requested at SDS discretion. SDS is inviting bids from Providers for MA starts for the duration of 12 months from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022. MAs already in training shall continue for the duration of the individual’s apprenticeship. Additional information: Bidders cannot bid for Lots 1-3 and Lot 4. Bids will only be accepted for a Provider (Lots 1-3) or an Employer Lot (Lot 4).

SDS in allocating volumes will take into account the bids received and the priorities for the programme and may allocate to the estimated value specified or less, as appropriate.
