Total Quantity or Scope
The BBC is acting on its own, and on behalf of its commercial subsidiaries within BBC Commercial Holdings Ltd, including BBC Studios, to conduct a competitive procurement with the intention of establishing a framework of service providers who will deliver corporate travel management and booking services. The service providers will manage complex and customised travel bookings for the BBC which predominantly includes 10 passengers, or more. Due to the diverse range of content made by the BBC and its subsidiaries, travel is undertaken to wide-range of global destinations. Production related travel could include coverage of breaking news stories, filming of programmes, and broadcasting of planned global events. The services providers will devise bespoke booking solutions to meet distinct requirements, which can be planned for a number of months in advance, or arranged within short notice; delivering value for money with every booking. This is in addition to range of other business and operational travel requirements. The value of the contract covers the maximum total spend over the contracts term, including extensions — incorporating fares, fees to the service providers, in addition to the cost of bookings made by BBC Commercial Holdings Ltd. It is not indicative of what the appointed service providers will be remunerated for their services, or what the BBC is committed to spend through the contract. The value of spend for the contract, is expected to range between — GBP 6 000 000 and GBP 12 000 000.
