Description

TWI currently employ three microfocus CT systems, a 225 kV system, a 240 kV system and a 450 kV system. To enhance TWI’s radiographic inspection and research capabilities, TWI have a requirement for a further X-ray Computed Tomography inspection system. This system is to be supplied with its own enclosure and offer at least 450 kV capability, with a 100μm or less focal spot size. Such a system will allow TWI to actively engage in industry-lead research projects in the deployment of CT for the inspection of advanced materials and complex components. Please be advised that TWI are happy to receive tenders offering refurbished or ex-demo equipment providing they meet all necessary requirements. Total Quantity or Scope

X-ray CT is a non-destructive method for observing the interior volume of objects in three dimensions. TWI makes extensive use of Computer Tomography (CT) inspection as part of its X-ray inspection services to its clients.
