Furniture, fixtures and equipment for Greater Belfast Development.

Total Quantity or Scope

Ulster University is undertaking a procurement exercise associated with the Greater Belfast Development project on the University's Belfast campus. The University wishes to procure a contract for the provision of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) to complete the fit-out of the newly constructed Blocks BC and BD and a small number of items installed within an occupied Block BB. The FF&E requirements will include seats, chairs, tables, desks, cupboards, bookcases, office furniture, educational equipment, laboratory furniture, bins, desk equipment and desk sets. The FF&E will include seating for internal learning in student hub areas, workstations, office seating and storage, break out furniture, reception furniture, restaurant furniture, specialist chairs, lockers and storage for academic and departmental offices.

The initial estimated total value stated above in section II.1.7) included GBP 3 300 000 spend on the core items tendered in the initial fabrication and installation 6-9-month period; and the option to purchase additional items up to the value of GBP 200 000 at the prices tendered in the subsequent 12-month period. The value of the contract — GBP 3 353 427.13 — stated above in section V.2.4) is the value of the successful tender of the core items tendered by the Contractor in the initial fabrication and installation 6-9-month period.
